Mattress Care Guide
🛏️ New Mattress Care – Single-Sided
1. Initial Setup
- Let it air out: New mattresses can have a factory odour (off-gassing). Let it breathe for a few hours in a well-ventilated room.
- Use a proper foundation: Make sure the base is supportive (e.g. a slatted base with slats no more than 3–4 inches apart). Using a broken or unsupportive base will damage the mattress and will void your warranty/guarantee.
2. Use a Mattress Protector
- Waterproof and breathable protectors prevent spills, sweat, and allergens from reaching the mattress.
- Washable and easy to change, unlike the mattress cover itself.
3. Rotate Regularly (Important)
- For the first 3 months, we recommend you rotate your mattress head-to-toe once a week
- After the initial 3 months, Rotate head-to-Toe every month.
- This promotes even wear and helps prevent body impressions.
4. Keep It Clean
- Vacuum the surface every 1–2 months using a handheld vacuum or upholstery attachment to remove dust and allergens.
- Spot clean stains with a damp cloth — avoid soaking the mattress.
5. Avoid Sitting on Edges Repeatedly
- Sitting on the same edge regularly can cause it to compress and lose support.
6. Avoid Jumping or Standing
- This can damage internal springs or foam layers, reducing the mattress's life.
7. Let It Breathe
- Occasionally remove the bedding for a few hours to let the mattress breathe and reduce moisture buildup.
8. Follow Manufacturer Instructions
- Check any tags or warranty documents for brand-specific care advice or restrictions.
